Even More Territorial

Poochie is even more territorial. I decided she should spend some time with my parents so she's now hanging out with them in the library while they watch their Korean shows. It's nice to see that she's become more bold, but we canNOT wait until she gets used to other people. That will be one super day.

Formerly Snickers, Now Poochie

We decided that we would like to name Snickers, Poochie. As adorable as "Snickers" is, it's tough for us to say, especially my parents. She did respond to "Snickers" on the first day, but after that she kind of started to ignore it. With Poochie, her ears perk up. It's happier and easier to say. First, I wanted to rename her to Pookie, but my dad kept saying Poochie. Poochie reminded me of the loser character on the Simpsons and being a huge fan of the Simpsons, I decided that would be appropriate. Poochie (Poochy) is also a dog-like character in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. Very cute.
I was starting to get a bit anxious about Poochie growling and barking at my parents, but after talking to Lisa and Sally (the lovely folks who did the home visit for Friends of Penny, MinPin Rescue) I felt a lot more confident about taking care of Snickers. Thanks to them for their support and advice :)

I plan on enrolling her in obedience classes... soon! Soonish. Sooner the better, yes, but.. not .. right now.
